The Early Steps
Inspired by the booming elevator sector in Spain, the founder of Fermator took his first steps in a small factory. His tenacity and leadership skills soon became evident, driving the development of a revolutionary system: electronic vector control for cabin doors. In 1994, the presentation of this system at the international fairs in Brussels and Augsburg marked a turning point. Fermator’s innovation captivated the market, catapulting the company to exponential growth and consolidating its prestige worldwide.
Expansão Global com Coração Local:
Guided by its founder, his family, and a constantly growing team, Fermator expanded its operations, establishing factories in Greece, China, Brazil, Italy, France, India, Poland and Turkiye. In each country, the company forged close relationships with local businesses, creating a collaborative network based on hard work, quality and human values. Fermator’s success led it to establish supply agreements with the world’s leading elevator companies, consolidating its position as a leader in the sector.
An Unexpected Challenge
In January 2021, a snow and ice storm hit Spain, leaving one of Fermator’s factories, Doors Movement Technology S.L., in ruins. In a scenario of global uncertainty after a Covid pandemic, the company faced a crucial decision. Despite the difficulties, the decision was clear: to rebuild the factory in Spain, maintaining all jobs. This act of commitment to the community and to the business project evidenced the strength of the values that underpin Fermator’s core values. In April 2022, the rebuilt factory reopened its doors, a symbol of Fermator’s resilience and unbreakable spirit. Today, the company continues its expansion, establishing five distribution centres in Europe and planning further growth in Asia and America.
