The Fermator Group has appointed Manel Castaño and Xavier Ribera as the new Directors of Fermator’s Global Research and Development Department.

From their respective roles, Castaño and Ribera will be responsible for continuing to lead the Group’s R&D efforts through a strategic plan for the coming years. Under their leadership, the department will continue to develop innovative, customized solutions tailored to every need, thereby ensuring our leading position in the market and significantly contributing to both the company’s growth and the benefit of its customers.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Manel Castaño holds a degree in Industrial Electronic Engineering from the Rovira i Virgili University and a Master’s in Industrial Project Management from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. With 16 years at the company, Manel has built a solid track record in research, leading large-scale projects for multinational companies and special clients. Thanks to his strategic leadership, he will focus on project management, compliance, and electronics..

Xavier Ribera also holds a degree in Industrial Electronic Engineering from the Rovira i Virgili University, as well as an MBA from the same institution. He has previously served as Production Manager in the automotive components industry and, for the past 14 years, as Head of Mechanical Design Centers within the company. With a proven ability to lead high-impact projects and bring strategic vision, he will be responsible for Product Development, continuing to provide crucial support to the mechanical engineering area.
