Fermator Implements ODA, the New Tool for Accessing Digital Documents

To facilitate access to technical documentation and to embrace the trends of digitalization and sustainability that the organization is pursuing, Fermator announces a significant shift towards adopting new technologies with the launch of its “Online Documents Accessibility” (ODA) project.

The installation manual, which is currently provided in printed form with each product, will transition to a digital format. Through a QR code, available on all operators and mechanisms, users will be able to access the same content in a more efficient and environmentally-friendly way, avoiding paper printing. Additionally, once the new system is fully established, other relevant documents, such as the declaration of conformity, maintenance manuals, and spare parts catalogs, will also be accessible.

This transition will begin at the company’s headquarters, Tecnolama S.A., in the last quarter of the year, during which both printed and digital systems will coexist. By early 2024, the format will be 100% digital. Implementation across other companies within the group will take place during the first half of 2024.

The serial number, main product information, and installation manuals for each product will be traceable from any mobile device by scanning the QR code visibly located on the operators and mechanisms. By performing this simple step, the system will automatically detect the order and provide updated information, regardless of when it was purchased. This same information will also be accessible from a PC via the website https://oda.fermator.com.
