On Saturday, May 6, Tecnolama S.A., the headquarters of the Fermator Group, participated in the European initiative Let’s Clean Up Europe 2023 with the aim of raising awareness about uncontrolled waste disposal in nature and promoting reduction, reuse, and recycling.
With the participation of over 100 people, including employees and their families, approximately 650 kg of waste was collected from the Barranco del Pi del Burgar area, located just a few kilometers from Reus.

At Fermator, a world-leading single-product manufacturer of automatic elevator doors, efforts have long been underway to improve sustainability in terms of waste throughout the product lifecycle and all associated production processes. Achievements include reducing plastic in packaging, replacing polyurethane and polystyrene elements with cardboard solutions, promoting the reuse of supplier packaging, reducing paper printing (paperless project), and implementing optimal waste segregation in industrial plants.
Activities like this not only raise environmental awareness but also have a strong social component, fostering values such as teamwork. This made Fermator’s first participation in Let’s Clean Up Europe a great success.
